ClearWorld Energy sees bright future in solar power and sustainable agriculture
Following an extensive review of the company’s mission, current activities and the cleantech market, the Directors of Clearworld Energy have determined a long-term focus on three key areas which have huge potential to further the company’s mission. These are:
(a) large-scale solar energy deployment in China, building on the company's earlier work in both solar thermal and solar PV sectors and beginning with the organizing an industry lobby for “top down” policy change.
(b) community and consumer based businesses, enabling wider participation in the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change, based around Climate Action's world-class platform but also including initiatives in cleantech training in China.
(c) rural-based sustainable agriculture, energy use and carbon sequestration, a “bottom-up” initiative building on progress made by FairKlima Capital, Action 2030 and the Micro-carbon Foundation.
During 2010 Clearworld will concentrate on supporting its current portfolio, researching and laying the ground-work for these new initiatives, with limited additional investment activity.
