August 2007 Opening of CWE branch office in Taiyuan

CWE Chairman Mike Ashburn, together with Camco China MD, Alan Ho, officiated at the opening of a new branch office in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province. The office will serve the needs of both Camco and CWE as both companies seek to develop their business in energy-rich Shanxi province. After ribbon cutting and fireworks a formal opening ceremony was held in the World Trade Centre Hotel where Mr Liu Xiangdong, Mr Zhang Chonghui and Mr Han Heping from Shanxi provincial government gave speeches about the great opportunities for environmental protection and carbon reduction businesses in Shanxi province. At the end of the ceremony Mr Kent Carter, MD of Clearworld Energy Ventures, signed a co-operation agreement with Yao Junjie, President of Meijin Group to jointly develop a series of major energy saving projects.

         

         

July 2007 Company Party Celebrates Business Integration

On July 19th the entire staff of Camco China and ESD-Sinosphere flew to UK for an exiting event at Overmoor Farm, near Bath in UK, the original HQ of ESD and still the spiritual home of the consulting business. Including family members over 60 people made the trip which was exhausting but enjoyable. After a reception at the Pump Rooms at the Roman Baths on Thursday night we had an eighteen hour day on Friday where the business strategy for Camco – the world’s leading full-integrated climate change company was outlined to all 200 staff by Jeff Kenna the CEO. There followed presentations on technologies, projects, company culture, branding, as well as working sessions on key issues. After the launch of the new biomass heating system at Overmoor farm the rain stopped and the summer party started with drinking and dancing until jet lag caught up with everyone. The company made a flying visit to London to see the sites and meet colleagues in the London office before returning to China after 5 hectic days.

May 2007 Sponsoring Sustainability in China

In July 2007 Clearworld Energy will be a silver sponsor of Green Long March, one of China’s largest youth outreach events, in which teams of students will march on routes throughout China bringing the message of sustainable development to rural regions and surveying the many successful examples of sustainability worked out at grass roots level by local communities. Consistent with its clean energy and climate change mitigation mission, Clearworld Energy will sponsor the Northeast Forest Route. Other sponsors of the GLM include Goldman Sachs, Suntech and Yahoo China.

April 2007 Clearworld Energy completes acquisition of Sinosphere

Clearworld Energy together with Energy for Sustainable Development (ESD) – a Camco Group company – have acquired a majority share in the business of Sinosphere Limited – a consulting company providing world leading environmental and social management consulting in the China market.

The acquisition will enable the carbon management and renewable energy consulting practices of ESD to reach the China market more effectively.

Mike Ashburn, Chairman of ClearWorld Energy, said, “ESD Sinosphere provides a one stop shop for environmental, energy and carbon consulting services here in Beijing and throughout China”. As part of the deal Mr Henri de Branche the former CEO of Sinosphere will join Clearworld Energy to lead some of the company’s new clean energy technology projects

April 2007 Creating a World Leader in Climate Change

Camco has acquired Energy for Sustainable Development (“ESD” www.esd.co.uk ), one of the world’s leading climate change businesses with 120 professionals operating in 8 offices across the UK, Eastern Europe, China and Africa.

Jeff Kenna, the co-founder and CEO of ESD and a non-executive director of Camco has been appointed CEO of Camco with immediate effect, succeeding Tristan Fisher who retires as CEO and also as an executive director.

Camco believes that the combination of ESD and Camco will create a world leading fully integrated climate change business with over 180 staff operating in 14 offices across 7 countries.

ESD is a multiple award winning climate change business established in 1989 with over 120 employees across the UK, Eastern Europe, Africa and China and, together with Clearworld Energy, was a co-founder of Camco’s business in carbon management. April 2007 CDM Projects Registered

Camco International, today announces the registration of the 12.3 million tonne CO2 emissions reduction ‘Jinan Iron and Steel Group Corporation Combined Cycle Power Plant Project’, the largest energy efficiency project developed under the CDM to date.

Clearworld Energy also congratulates Climate Change Capital and Zhejiang Juhua Fluochemicals Group on the registration of their 33 million tonne HFC abatement project on which the company played an intermediary role

February 2007 Joint Venture for Bio-Gasification

After several months of working together Clearworld Energy Ventures (CWEV) and ESD Ventures (ESDV) of UK today concluded a partnership agreement to work together on bio-gasification technology for both China and overseas markets. The agreement was signed by Kent Carter, Managing Director of CWEV and Ian McChesney Director of ESDV.

Kent Carter stated “This partnership will enable ESDV’s knowledge of biogasification technologies to be combined with the impressive expertise in the local market. The goal is a winning technology for medium scale biomass to power opportunities which can be exported world-wide”.

January 2007 First Group Time-Out – Sanya

After a year of hard work Clearworld Energy organized a group “time out” at the Universal Resort in Sanya. Attended by all directors and staff of CWE, CWEV, Camco Beijing, old associates CREIA and new associates, Sinosphere – there were also visits from Camco’s Global CEO Tristan Fischer and CFO Scott McGregor.

After a morning of meetings discussing the way forward, some bizarre and life-threatening team building exercises were followed by a beach party and Karaoke fest. Tourism and golfing occupied the rest of the weekend which ended with visionary speeches by Mr Feng Fei, Director of Department of Industrial Economic Research of the State Council Development and Research Center and Mr Li Junfeng, Secretary General of CREIA

      

November 2006 WOFIE Incorporated for CDM Business

Clearworld Energy and Camco International are pleased to announce the incorporation of a new company in Beijing called Camco Carbon Assets Consulting Beijing Limited which will provide local liaison and the needed in-country services for the group’s CDM projects.

The new company will take over the office of CWE on the 9th Floor of Lucky Tower and many former CWE staff who had been engaged on CDM projects will now formally join Camco Beijing.

September 2006 New Finance Subsidiary Incorporated

Clearworld Energy is pleased to announce the incorporation of a subsidiary Clearworld Energy Ventures (CWEV), to focus on the financing of clean energy projects, companies and technologies – and to raise new investment funds for clean energy in China.

CWEV is a joint venture between the company and Mr Kent Carter, one of the most experienced developers of energy projects in Asia, who will serve as Managing Director of CWEV. Kent Carter said “I am happy to join the Clearworld Energy family and look forward to working together with Mike (Ashburn) and Alex (Westlake) to realize some good investments”.

May 2006 Camco International Limited to List on AIM

Camco International Limited ("Camco" or the "Company"), a significant co-developer and originator of Carbon Credits under the Kyoto Protocol, announces that it expects to be admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange on Tuesday, 25 April 2006.

As part of the AIM Admission, Camco has raised £24.9m in a placing conducted by KBC Peel Hunt at 64p per share. The capital raising was supported by blue chip institutions and was well oversubscribed. Camco is expected to have a market capitalisation of approx. £83m at the placing price.

February 2006 Leading Carbo Business Created through Merger February 16th 2006: Camco International Limited, a leading carbon asset management company, has acquired carbon asset developer Camco AG and merged the China-focused carbon business arm of ClearWorld Energy Limited. The deal creates a world leader in the sourcing, development and management of Carbon Credits, the fundamental mechanism for promoting greenhouse gas emission reductions under the Kyoto Protocol.

The merger creates one of the world's largest carbon asset portfolios, with a significant market presence in China, Russia, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe. Camco International now manages over 80 million tonnes of carbon assets across its key markets and will continue to develop new opportunities and expand its service offering

ClearWorld Energy is pleased to celebrate with the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association and the Inner Mongolia LongYuan Windpower Development Company, the registration of the Huitengxile 25.8 MW windfarm project as the first CDM project to be registered in China and the first windfarm to be registered globally.
